Re: This should put an end to CUSA's habit of taking SBC sch

This is potentially huge news for the Sun Belt and App. Word is the AAC is pretty upset with CUSA trying to kill the Sun Belt and expand to 16. JMU will really be on the clock if this revenue split is agreed upon. Add this $1 Million in with the Sun Belt TV deal and we have made up nearly 1/2 of th...

Re: Group of Five Revenue

Seriously, if WKU and MTSU bail on cusa, App and the Sun Belt are in a better position then they have ever been. Drop Idaho and NMSU, save the cost and deadweight. App would then have WKU, MTSU, GSU, GaSt and Troy as regional rivals, and conference monies would also go up with the more competative ...

Re: Jerry Moore at UNCC football practice Today

And FYI it's the last one. I hope this doesn't mean you're stopping with the recruiting info. I have really enjoyed reading those pages. Nope...not quitting. Just having a very bad day. But mainly I meant that it's the last page for now as Baseball 2014/2015 doesn't have a lot of info right now. I'...

Re: Jerry Moore at UNCC football practice Today

Speaking of recruiting I have finished the 2013/2014 baseball page and Yosef will have it up for all to see very soon. He or 78' will post a notice in the baseball thread as soon as it's available for all to see. Enjoy. :D And FYI it's the last one.

Re: Jerry Moore at UNCC football practice Today

I don't think it is a big deal. I may be called wishy washy but as far as I am concerned Jerry Moore will forever be on App State's mythical Mt. Rushmore. I am happy where we are headed but glad he was part of how we got there. I wish things worked out better but still hope there is a happy ending ...

Re: Sun Belt Panic?

This whole conference merry go round is sickening. I barely knew the teams that were in the Sun Belt and now half of them are gone. I used to be able to name all teams in every FBS conference. Now I don't know if I could get one league correct. I will be curious to see what the 2014 schedule looks ...

Re: This Is Just Great.....

This only works in our favor if the Belt adds quality members, other than JMU there really isn't another option. Missouri St would be nice but their football isn't ready. NMSU all sports would be good but bad on travel. I bet they take Ark St and Texas St. If this happens JMU will be less likely to...

Re: Prayer Request for Fred Robinette

I just talked to him a few days ago checking on him. I've known Fred since I can remember (he's known me since I was born. He and my father were great friends and golfing buddies. The twice a year trips to Pinehurst were always something Dad looked forward to. God Bless Fred, Prissy and the entire R...

Re: This Is Just Great.....

I have to believe CUSA will look west if they go to 16. The majority of their recent additions have been in the east so I would think the western schools (who at one time had all the power) will look to build closer to them. Even though they went for markets in the last round it is now clear that t...

Re: This Is Just Great.....

As far as this effecting us directly we actually have a better chance...tiny though it may be...of getting in because we are a move up. They have shown little to no interest in us when we were FCS and it's only marginally better with us already in the process. We have a better chance at the AAC with...

Yep...Kinda figured something must be up. Either we were going to lose another current player or a recruit. Guess this answers the question.

Re: Recruiting, 2013

OK...here's one for the books. PF Marcus "Marki" Bryan (6-8, 215) of Ravenscroft School in Raleigh ... re-committed to Appalachain State (posted Nov. 27, 2012, last posted Jan. 24, 2013).... has apparently un-committed again (see tweet below). Have no idea where he plans to go or if he is even playi...
