Re: My condolences UNC Chapel Hill
WOOOO!!!! GO PACK!!!! GO TO HELL CAROLINA!!! As the only person in my family not to go to NCSU it is hard to not get involved with NC State...After so many heart breaks and let downs you resign yourself to not get caught up in it...But Saturday morning I spoke with my Dad and I could hear the hope ...

Re: NIT
Playing in the NIT has no or virtually no impact on the search. If DG is aware that Kerns is leaving, DG is working through intermediaries one would think to find out who may be interested. I did not think it would either but I saw that question posed elsewhere so I was curious to see what others t...

Re: NIT
The Ivy may not participate in the NIT. They’re funny when it comes to postseason. Princeton was in the NIT in 2022 so the Ivy League definitely allows it. They actually won the NIT back in 1975. Well, damn. Hope it won’t hurt us. I don't think so. People who are pretty connected to our athletic de...

Re: NIT
On a NIT bracketology this morning, we are still in….. and we do not have the lowest sos….. time will tell. Yesterday, we were about 7 above the cut line on most sites. Today, we are still 4 above (and that's without any more refusals--Memphis, Ole Miss and Indiana have already said they would decl...

Re: College Football
It is going to end badly. I hope we keep doing the best we can with whatever rules, but the g5 missed an opportunity not to make the NIT Basketball and NIT Football playoff mandatory to participate by the p2. Agreed. I think a lot of us aren't going to like how this ends. I hope we are wrong but it...

Re: TIGMA NIL
This is so silly given how poorly the Yosef Club is. Seriously, how many $1000+ does YC have? I agree. I think these entities should be using their efforts to grow the Yosef Club so we can enhance the experience for all athletes. And if it ever came to it we'd get "out bid". Agreed. That is another...

I doubt it would keep us out of the NIT.

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis
I can't find where we talked about players returning in the league where I mentioned that we could see star players go so we have no clue who the top teams should be yet but I just saw on social media that 5 players from Western Carolina have entered the portal after their coach left. I believe if K...

Re: TIGMA NIL
Sara Strickland and Doug Middleton would be a better source as to what athletes have the larger followings. If you are there next Saturday, they would be the ones that I suggest seeking out. I won't be there for that but I am curious so I will have to ask. My guess without any investigation is that...

Re: TIGMA NIL
The only ones that can afford that with TV $ are schools in the Big and SEC. It would put a strain of the ACC schools and Big 12 and would cripple G5 and FCS schools. G5 and below are already being crippled with losing star players at a high rate. The whole argument was that schools make so much re...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis
Good grief. I hope not .then it would be just March.... The Madness is the upsets and is the reason we watch some teams we have never watched during the season... I would think that would ensure the best mid-major teams actually get in and thus more mid-major wins I bet. Did you hear what a Duke pl...

Re: NIT
don't know if the SOS will help us that much with this game, but Auburn just crushed a 28-7 Scar team to advance in the SEC tourney It is just one game and remember that they beat them by 40 earlier in the season. I agree with 311neers that it does not matter and we will get the NIT invite regardle...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis
And Arizona. I think that’s 14 or 15 #1 seeds that have fallen. Insane at the amount who have fallen. If we got rid of conference tourneys what if they went to double elimination and expanded to 84 teams or something? I just feel like we would see better quality from mid-majors if we have the best ...
