Re: TX St discussion
Here are two thoughts that I would be interested to hear feedback. 1. This team seems to lack on field leadership. Who is on the field holding teammates accountable with their words and play? We seem to be lacking in that area. 2. I’m not saying that one guy is the root cause or difference maker, bu...

Re: What question would you like asked of Coach Clark at the next press conference.
My question: “The team and coaching seems in disarray, What the hell is going on?” Fair question. My only question would be, is there an answer that Clark could give that would be satisfactory? People on here have seemingly identified what they know to be the issues. If he says that those aren’t th...

Re: TX St discussion
Football is a wild ride. We beat A&M on the scoreboard and on the stat sheet. The same A&M team that was 2 yards and one play from taking down #1 on their home field last night.

Re: What question would you like asked of Coach Clark at the next press conference.
What’s the situation with the running backs? I understand you want to keep things under wraps so the other team can’t game plan, but fans should at least have some idea of who is or is not playing and why. Follow up, why, when a RB is tearing of 4-6 yard runs every play do you still insist on stick...

Re: TX St discussion
I think the original point is valid. “Trap games” usually refer to games you’re supposed win easy. You’re felling good, and you have a chance of loosing focus. We’ve had one easy win, we’re not in a position to be feeling too good about things so right now we shouldn’t have a “trap game”. We should...

Re: TX St discussion
But we all knew, or at least thought that this was a rebuilding year. Replacing half the defensive starters and all of the WRs is not easy for anyone. And all while playing our toughest schedule ever. These negative nellies have no perspective. I think the original point is valid. “Trap games” usua...

Re: TX St discussion
We need to be careful. This could be a Trap Game! We needed a hail mary to beat Troy and lost to JMU after leading 28-3. Shawn clark is like 3-9 or something against teams of comparable stature. We are 3-4 in our last 7 games. Every game is a trap game. If it were not for the tamu win...which was j...

Re: TX St discussion
1. Scoring during the "middle 8"- we need to play better and score more during the last 4 minutes of 1st half and first 4 minutes of 2nd half. I think that this is something that is going to plague us all year. No real reason to think this but there is always something that you have to overcome. 2. ...

Re: TX St discussion
Hopefully the players we currently have will prove to be much better than the previous ones. Fingers crossed. In the mean time, seeing that after five games in we are still lacking consistency, is there a way to gauge or expected to see things improve? Or, have we already seen some improvement? I t...

Re: TX St discussion
Please "educate" me here, why do we have to replace 7 defensive starters all at once? Is this a rebuild vice reload situation? Or, just something SC took over from previous recruiting, or what? It’s somewhere in between the two. The term “reload” implies that you can plug and play and not skip a be...

Re: TX St discussion
Take away the sacks which NCAA counts towards rushing yards and it doesn't look as bad. Healthier backfield and better second half play calling, and that average for us is probably much higher. Fact is we lost that game more than they won it. Blowing a 28-3 lead at The Rock was just plain embarrass...

Re: Gameday Experience
I really know the answer to this question (without a google) but figured I'd ask. It's not so much a question for this thread but I didn't want to start a new one. What exactly is the point of the screen things the team puts up behind a coach on our sideline? I know it's so that the signs can't get...

Re: Auburn coming to HCC
It worked out well. Part of the stipulation for us moving it was that they had to come back when the students were on campus.
