Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023
Ericsaid, respectfully...I'm fairly certain you're in the minority on this issue (and that's ok). Those games give us a payday, allow our players to play against the best talent in the country, can help out with recruiting (I personally don't place as much of premium on this as some do) by allowing...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...
25,787 Avg attendance in 2017. I won't exclude "the big games" because that would skew the data. Attendance is attendance. In the Sun Belt and the G5 our attendance is "so great." Premium seating before outdoor seating is indeed prudent, but outdoor seating after that and as soon as we're able fina...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...
Stadium enhancements are the way to go. Our attendance is not so great outside of the Wake, Miami and the annual Parents Weekend game. http://footballscoop.com/news/ncaa-football-attendance-across-board-2017/ Replacing metal temporary endzones seats and porta johns is definitely an enhancement. Tem...

I heard that Doug is going to announce it by 5:00pm today, if we add 1000 new season ticket holders.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023
That leaves only one more home OOC needed for 2023.
At a glance, I noticed we need one more road OOC for 2019 too. We need to get on that.

...and still no Spring game? While the current formula works great, and I hate to criticize, I do think we are missing out on an opportunity in the spring to have an abbreviated gameday. A late spring game could be coordinated with a baseball game, or an all out campus event. It could be sold as a ...

Re: Will JMU Regret Not Jumping to Sunbelt?
Yes. They held out for CUSA, which is turning out to not be that great of a conference. They have some advantages over the SB, but I don't think it was worth waiting. Also Liberty has moved forward while they sit idle. I would be very discouraged if we would have done the same. I think CUSA and the ...

Re: Taylor at USC
Great news for Taylor! I truly hope that he finds his way back to Boone one day in a coaching capacity. He has been an awesome team leader and ambassador for App! I think we will see him back in Boone one day. I'm glad to see him find a position quickly. He should make a great coach! Good luck Tayl...

Re: New DC?
When i started this thread, I did so because i had not seen it mentioned here. I have no idea why it should only be for the moose lodge since the info was released to the local media. There was nothing but info given on what was reported. The news of the hire isn't the problem. The issue is the thr...

Re: New DC?
How many of Satt's past hires have been fired? I can't think of any. I know Foster resigned. I heard many rumors of why, but none had to do with his coaching performance. To my knowledge our coaches have either been promoted or been hired for better positions elsewhere. I trust Satt's assessment of ...

Congrats to Coach Brown
I like this move. Brown has done a great job with the secondary and I can't wait to see what he can do as a DC. This staff is very young and successful. That's an easy sell to recruits.

Re: New hotel in downtown Boone
A little birdy says there's another article out today that'll be great news for those who drive up U.S. 321 to Boone. And coming in 2019, horrific traffic on 105. https://www.ncdot.gov/projects/nc105widening/ I'm not sure all this is necessary. It seems the problem could be solved with a new bridge...

Re: 2018 Football Schedule?
I like this schedule despite no P5's at home. At Charlotte might be a home game, Southern Miss in town will be fun, GSU and Shawn Elliott's first game back in Boone, and Troy. I just hope we can avoid too many weekday game.
