Re: Poll: Bowl Game

Ideally I'd like to make it to any bowl we play in. Buying tickets for them either way. NOLA or Orlando are my preferences. With Orlando just barely edging out Montgomery. I don't think Orlando will provide much of a Bowl atmosphere compared to what we've seen in Montgomery and what we could see in ...

Re: Lot Opening Times for GS

THE SKY IS NOT FALLING! Both sides of this discussion, need to take a deep breath and move on. If we were selling out our Thursday night games, I think you could make a valid point to cancel classes for one day. Based on the packages that Yosef Club has put together for this game, I don't expect the...

Re: Attendance Stat

I think we need to actively plan toward the future where we can have a 40,000 person stadium, and fill it on a regular basis. I don't think our program has gotten to the point of acting on that plan and I don't think we will get there under the current conference set up. I think for us to seriously ...

Re: Bunch of not very important questions-App Football related.

The two coaches with the red and green polos are signal callers. The different colors make them easy to spot on the sidelines in a sea of black and gold.

Re: Attendance

Attendance is Fine! I'm pretty sure that attendance is measured by tickets sold, plus student scans at the gate. Students sections looked quite thin compared to how packed they can get for games like Wake and Miami. The hill had very few people sitting there. I don't think there were anywhere close ...

Re: Why no replays on million dollar scoreboard

Other than a player being hurt there really isn't a good reason not to offer replays. I'd like to see us show replays as much as possible. It's just one of the small things that we can do to enhance the fan experience that truly has no cost. I'd much rather see the last play than a abbreviated clip ...

As long as the students and recruits are hyped about what we are wearing I could care less. But for what it’s worth both home combos have looked awesome.

Re: Positives from yesterday's game

What really impressed me the most was not Lamb’s completions, but incompletions. He through a couple that could have been picked, but most important to me, he didn’t hold the ball long enough to get sacked. He rolled out of the pocked and if he couldn’t pick up any yards on the ground he threw it aw...

Re: Dangerously over capacity

Having been at a game where they did evacuate due to lightning the track is opened for students to exit as soon as the teams clear the field. Crowd barriers allowIng students to enter and exit via the track would be a great help for crowd flow. I’m looking forward to having to find solutions to thes...

Re: Entrance fireworks

I didn't even notice the lack of fireworks. I was too mesmerized by the enormous video board. It was great to be able to understand everything that was being said by the announcers. I'm in agreement that the volume level could come down a couple of notches. Mom_n_Buggie - Last page of season ticket ...

Re: Low Attendance?

One figure that I've never seen posted is how may of our total seating is allocated to students vs how many students actual attend the game. To me the student section is always appears over capacity and this skews the data to make it look like we are always selling out except for GA tickets. I have ...

Re: Team Hotel? Marching Mountaineers?

Last year the two team hotels were Renaissance and Embassy Suites. The travel packages list Renaissance as the hotel. They are across from each other downtown near union station the waterfront. We stayed at Embassy last year which was the Ohio hotel. There were plenty of App fans there and it was cl...

I'm only about halfway through, but this Dave guy is really hijacking the conversation. Hope the 2nd half he pipes down and lets someone with some experience show him how it's done.

Re: Capping student entry into UM game?

There has to be a cap set for attendance for safety concerns We have almost 18k undergrad and grad students, there can't be space for all of them. We've put a large part of this expansion on student fees and while I don't think it's fair, I'm sure there is a cap, what it is we may never know.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the Triangle Alumni group for putting together a great viewing party. There were easily over 100 people in attendance, and we absolutely took over the bar. EastHall, Does the NOLA bowl not have to take a member from the Sunbelt? I thought that the conference tie in held a spot as long as there were teams from the conference that were eligible (6-6 or above record).

Re: CALLING ALL TRIANGLE ALUMNI - '16 Viewing Parties

AppDawg Another option that many might not have considered is Tobacco Road. They closed their location on Glenwood Ave and are in the process of moving to the Powerhouse Square building that housed Natty Greene's. They have been scheduled to try to open sometime this month. I'm not sure what the con...
