Re: Recent realignment rumors/discussion
The issue that I see with the revamped AAC listed above is that there are too many schools left on islands as travel partners for non football sports. USF, UAB, and Tulsa (assuming that you add another Texas school and whoever isn’t paired with APP (ECU or Marshall) would be somewhat of a logistical...

Re: Recent realignment rumors/discussion
Given the current state of unrest, I think the Sun Belt is the best possible position. Until we know what the BIgXII or AAC are going to look like, it’s hard to make an accurate assessment.

Listen to what Democrats said about the current vaccines available when they were looking for control. There should be little wonder why people feel the way that they do. https://twitter.com/sicarioscott/status/1423387164507791364?s=21 https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2021/jul/23/tiktok-posts/...

Re: How does ECU look?
East Carolina's football team has been tabbed in the eighth spot in the preseason American Athletic Conference media poll, as announced by the league on Wednesday at the conference's media days. The Pirates and Navy were tied for eighth with 85 points apiece. Temple was slotted 10th, and USF last a...

Re: How does ECU look?
I don’t feel that the NC State situation is a fair comparison. Any issues, should they arise will not prevent us from playing for a National Championship. While I understand your point about vaccinations mitigating the “Potential” of a loss by forfeiture, it’s just a game. But if that "just a game"...

Re: App -12 vs ECU
He is 1 and 0 as the starter. He can operate the offense with the whole playbook. No need to dial it back if he comes in. Chase is better than Zac. He makes throws that have the coaches saying Wow! For context that win was against a subpar CCU team in which we threw the ball very infrequently and m...

He was recruited given a scholarship and played at Clemson. Zac had none of those. Actually, Zac was ...

Re: App -12 vs ECU
I could see it drop again as we get closer to game day. I don’t bet on games involving App, but if there is value in the line, I will advise others on which way to go. I made a buddy of mine a nice sum of folding money taking App against Tennessee and taking Miami. I can make a case to play either s...

Re: 2021 depth
I will put money on this season being one of the most dominant seasons ever for our OLine... just call it a feeling. Navy, I agree. I believe our starting 5 can be good. Winning starts with the lineman. They must work together as one unit. Baer will be leading this group on the field. He will need ...

Re: O line
Actually, I think Helms is the guy in the blue jeans in the back on the LHS of Cardwell’s pic. The face matches his roster pic a little better. But that brings to question, who is the large man on the right??? You are correct. Helms is the guy behind Lindsay and to left of Cardwell. The mountain po...

Re: O line
I will say this you have to have a mean streak to play center. Collins did. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think he was the one that blocked the Tennessee player clear into the parking lot on the first play it was awesome. You are correct. And while you don’t want those types of penalties, that one ...

He is Parker Collins 2.0! He tips the scale at over 300lbs. According to some of his teammates, he runs to Howard’s Knob twice a week.

The NCAA has announced that any unvaccinated athletes will be required to test 3 times a week. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/ncaa-issues-guidance-on-covid-19-protocols-as-2021-college-football-season-draws-near/ If 5% of a team test positive, the entire team will be tested. I don’t wish to out anyone here that isn’t a member of YC, so I will ask these questions of the group as a whole. 1) What do you feel would be good incentives that would lead one to donate? 2) What do you feel would be good enticements to donate more than you already give? For me, I see a lack of di...

Re: How does ECU look?
He made it sound as if he's pleased with our vaccination numbers. If AppStateNews is accurate, that's not true. There were 10 better ways to answer that question, but he chose to blow smoke up our butts. Moreover, the media failed in its role to drill down deeper. If we don't find true leadership i...
