Re: Interesting article from CBS SPORTS
I wish I had the confidence in the selecting body that you guys seem to have - my feeling still is Houston being from the AAC and winning their conference championship game (which we wouldn't have had) at 12-1 with more quality wins is going over 12-0 APP - We need to get used to playing in the sub-...

Re: Interesting article from CBS SPORTS
As I have said previously, we could have finished 13-0 last season and still played in the same bowl as we did - Houston had more impressive victories and won their conference tourney - at 12-1, I absolutely believe it would have not made any difference - not our fault - the SunBelt bowl tie-ins le...

Conference Championship Games
OK - I might have missed something recently about this --- I read where the Big 12 can have a championship game (2017) even with only 10 teams and right now, no divisions --- What affect does this decision have on the SunBelt and whether or not a SunBelt Championship Game is in the near future? ---

Re: RIP Muhammed Ali
I will say I liked him from the beginning - I had him in his first fight against Liston as me and my friends sat and listened on the radio - I think I won a quarter (0.25) - I can live with "big-talkers" as long as they back it up - He did both !!!

Per Lamb - He needs to not let one mistake lead to 2 or 3 which has happened in the past - That being said, He is set to have a great year and he's our guy and I'm glad he is!!!

Re: Billy Jones Fired
[quote="AppDawg] Is because BJ did not recruit the state of North Carolina. He came from out West and also is affiliated with USA baseball. He attempted to recruit nationally, while overlooking many great players in our own state. Im not trying to defend the job Jones did, but you do realize we hav...

Re: Athletics announced White Out for Old Dominion
OK - I love the all black unis however I don't understand this "attack" on wearing white - "it's not the school's colors" - well every home basketball game I have attended or watched I do believe the APPs were wearing white??? Just about every away football game I have attended APP wore white - if w...

one mag I was thumbing through this weekend had us somewhere in the mid 50s - of course, we all know none of this pre-season stuff truly matters except that writers are taking notice ---

Re: Athletics announced White Out for Old Dominion
This is bad, bad karma, folks! Nothing good will come of this silly uprising. Where has all this righteous indignation been over all the years that North Carolina's Band of Distinction has played "The Tennessee Waltz" and "Rocky Top" after every home FB game? And I buried my comment in anthe...

Re: Baseball - IN-GAME Decisions
yeah the PH hitting .135 is confusing unless the batter has a history against the pitcher which I doubt is the case - I was never big on the righty-lefty deal in amateur baseball especially as you point out the discrepancies in their averages --- as for the bunt situation, to me that would depend hu...

C and 15 - when you refer to "doing the same thing late in games" are there things other than making/not making pitching changes that you have seen consistently? ---

Re: Season Tickets - How Are We Doing?
Can someone spell out in bullet points the problem with our tailgating regulations? I don't see a problem so I am just curious. Not wanting an argument just want to know. I come up tailgate for 3 hours watch the game and drive home 3-4 hours no problem. With that said I must be missing something I ...

Re: Baseball - IN-GAME Decisions
Here's an example of one crazy day of making pitching decisions. We are in a 2-1 game in the 6th inning (7 inning game) and because of a situation which no one but the team was aware of I started a pitcher who wasn't scheduled to start. He had pitched very well but with no outs in the 6th he gives u...

Re: Baseball - IN-GAME Decisions
When the coach continually makes the same type of decision over and over and the result turns up negative more times than not, we have an issue. There have been times when Billy has made a call, and it worked out in his favor, but not always has that decision been wise. This weekend, I saw with my ...

Re: Baseball Raps Up Sole Possession Of Last Place
I personally don't care about what the record was after what inning. I'm a bottom line person and I look at overall records and conference records. And by those standards it's time for a change. But unless he resigns, a rich uncle bites the dust, or our fairy godmother drops a couple hundred K into...

Re: Baseball Raps Up Sole Possession Of Last Place
Bottom line is Billy jones is a terrible head coach. Took a program that was winning every year, and 3 wins from Omaha... to a damn dumpster fire... What an embarrassing job he's done. Absolutely no player development occurs. His excuse every year is youth. Well, when you run off the Sophs and juni...

Just wondering what comes under the heading of "relaxing some rules on tailgating"?
