Parking for Black Saturday

I am bringing a group of drunks . . .uh . . . I mean friends up the mountain for Black Saturday. They are a mixed bag of folks, a couple of Down Easters (1 an ECU grad and 1 an NCSU grad) and 3 Canadian transplants, none of whom have been to Boone, much less and Appalachian football game. They are all very excited to experience “The Rock.”
I need parking for the game on Saturday, and I’ll take advice on a “day” lot, or whatever you guys have to offer. Ultimately we’ll be in 2 cars, since there will be a 12 month old kid along for the ride, but I’m open to buying 1 pass from someone and parking the second car across campus or somewhere else.
Where would you advise parking for those of us without passes? What time should I plan on securing said parking spot? Last year I came up for Homecoming and parked in the First Pres. Lot on King Street, but this crowd will be drinking. Canadians are, by birth, beer-aholics.
