Parking Situation

Coming up to the Rock for the first time since '07 and was hoping you all could let me know what the parking situation is for visiting fans. I'm expecting a good game and I don't think your record reflects the overall strength of your team.

I've seen there is a parking deck that is FCFS on campus but I don't plan on being in town until an hour or so until kick so I won't count on that. I did see the ApplCart runs on game day- which line is best (from what I can tell it's red, purple or pop 105) and what is the cost of that? I also heard about some off-campus lots (churches)- which ones support parking and how far of a walk are they from the stadium?

Thanks in advance- best of luck...after Saturday.

ApplCart is free for everyone. Before I had an assigned place I parked various places but usually had to pay $5-$20 for a park, but I was always within walking. I liked down from the stadium across River Street about the best but it was a little higher. Some have said agriculture extension or the County DSS building are good and free but I can't really say about them.

If you're coming in late and just want to find a place to park and get in fairly quick, I'd look around Howard Street.

Thanks for the info Maddog. I'm tempted to try the ApplCart but am worried that it might run a little slow after the game with the crowds exiting. Anyone have experience they could share on how smoothly they run post-game? Thanks again.

Does the Lutheran Church on the corner of King and Hardin still offer parking for a donation? I remember passing it a few times on my way into town and vaguely remember seeing a parking sign.

Pretty sure they do... Good option... $10-15 donation in a good lot--- not a long walk... half mile tops

Yes, you may park there free. However, by doing so you have to be Acolyte for the morning service.

Is there really a FCFS parking deck on campus? I've never heard of that and I would be very surprised if there was.

Was going by this-
http://www.appstatesports.com/ViewArtic ... =204982664

RIVERS STREET
• First-come, first-served to students and general public.

But I see they actually mean the street is FCFS and not the actual deck. Thanks for clarifying.

Not now. With the growth of Yosef, both Rivers Street and Liberry are Yosef lots now.

Bodenheimer Dr. - if you park in the grass it is free and a really close walk.

The old Presbyterian church lot on King Street. - the school owns it now, but it is free.

Presbyterian does, too. Last time I parked there, they asked for a non-specified donation.

Whoops, I didn't see H-3's post.
