Tyson Bagent. Heavily productive QB in D2. I could see him getting drafted for sure. He was okay at the Senior Bowl but he reads defenses pretty well. He had a lot of talent around him though. Shepherd had 4 players on offense that could get drafted, signed, or a tryout this year.
Who is the 1st App to go this weekend?

I looked them up out of curiosity. Never heard of those schools. While he probably has some skills he carved up D2. World of difference. 4 guys who are NFL level good? Hard to imagineAppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 1:06 pmTyson Bagent. Heavily productive QB in D2. I could see him getting drafted for sure. Arm strength and the processing of information is a big deal in the NFL.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 1:26 pmI looked them up out of curiosity. Never heard of those schools. 5th as expected. I posted a threat for all our picks and UDFA signings. I don't think he will be our only pick.

Gotta be rough sometimes for lower drafted rookies in LA, NY or SF as far as living expenses.

Re: Who is the 1st App to go this weekend?
Good luck to Mr. Hampton and his family.
And, yes, after living in LAX fior 3 years...it is EX-pensive!!
But he may do okay...about $600 to $700K a year. With that said, that does not buy much in LAX nicer areas...
The first pick of the fifth round will sign a contract worth approximately $4.224 million and receive a signing bonus of approximately $384,680. The second pick of the round will receive a $4.218 million contract with a $378,408 signing bonus. The numbers decrease each pick until the 43rd pick where the player will receive a $4.098 million contract with a $258,040 signing bonus.

It is about 5-10 minutes from the Maryland border, correct?
Keep a watch for OL Joey Fisher and QB Tyson Bagent to possibly get drafted. They got a RB Ronnie Brown who has an outside shot in 7th but is expected to be a PFA.

Re: Who is the 1st App to go this weekend?
Jaguars were the team who had most interest in him and they had a lot of day 3 picks so that is why I kept saying he could get drafted. His family came to all of our games so you know they will be at every Jags game. I am really happy for him.

Yes, off field concerns. Some football related (track mentality) and some not. Love the kid, but he made a couple dumb mistakes as a senior trying to get in to the NFL.TomA415 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 9:26 amOff field concerns for Cam? Peoples was at the combine as well so he could but he has medical and off field concerns. Both Hodges and Jones had official visits and private workouts with NFL teams so they could get drafted, even though odds might not be high for it.
I really believe 4-5 of our players make a 53-man roster. People don't realize how bad some of our coaches and the strength/conditioning was last year. We had more talent than a 6-6 team.

Re: Who is the 1st App to go this weekend?
Indeed. Nobody at App will go public with it but he has a lot of stuff that went wrong. He went from a mid round talent grade, Senior Bowl invite, and NFL Combine invite to a borderline draft pick.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 4:56 pmYes, off field concerns. Off the field issues and bad advice I think have cost some talented App players a lot of opportunity and cash .AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 4:57 pmIndeed. Re: Who is the 1st App to go this weekend?
100%. Bad advice has hurt several for sure. Cam thought he was a 4th-5th round pick when he signed with an agent and even back in January. I had been hearing a rude awakening is coming for him since the fall. Nobody sat him down and told him. Everyone has enabled him and now he is still undrafted at pick 239 when he thought he would be long gone by now. I wonder if he fires his agent this week or if the agent finally told him what to expect late? I hope he gets that chip back on his shoulder. If he does I still think he could end up being a solid pro but has attitude, work ethic, and toughness will determine that.PhillyApp1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 5:04 pmOff the field issues and bad advice I think have cost some talented App players a lot of opportunity and cash .AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 4:57 pmIndeed.
