I see one of the latest pro draft projections and it has St. Louis picking up Clemson WR Sammy Watkins early in the first round. Wonder how Quick Brian gets traded? He really hasn't produced in relation to his pick position, which has beeen contrary to my guess as to how he would have done. How long does his contract keep him around, since this will be his third year?

I don't like it either, but in the context I think he is referring to the fact that our offensive scheme is a lot different than the NFL versus some other colleges. We do not run a "route tree" like they do in the NFL. It takes a while to learn when you're used to having a route called and just running it versus adjusting the route on the fly based on what the corner is doing, where the safety is, whether its man or zone, etc, etc. Some College do run NFL-type route trees like USC (Trojans, not Gamecocks) and Bama, others more basic, and we will (rarely) have some option routes, but it is still a big difference. Then again, I could be reading WAAYYY too much into this. :D
It is not the first time he has leveled what were interpreted as disparaging remarks toward his ASU days. It's hard to give him the benefit of the doubt when it happens multiple times.

Most rookie contracts for the first couple rounds are 4 year deals. He's under contract thru 2015. I doubt Quick would be traded. Not much of a cap hit to cut him at this point and he hasn't shown enough to generate much trade interest unless it's for another "potential" type player. Like the KC-SF WR trade last year.

I don't take it as a criticism at all, rather that schools like ASU get no respect plus the scheme we ran didn't translate into the pro game. I would suggest the scheme we ran got him drafted and a big fat pay check. The rest is now up to Brian to work as hard as Armanti did to learn what to do. He has the physical tools and needs to do his work between the ears.
