I definitely give him a Bye. I'm extremely happy to see AE doing so well. I look forward to watching more Argos games over the summer.

I know it's cliche, but that officiating was horrible.

Did anyone catch yesterday's Argos game? They lost to Armanti's old squad, and AE put up solid, if not video game, numbers (5 receptions for 74 yds, the #2 receiver), but the very interesting part is that he apparently took a snap as qb! It didn't go anywhere, unfortunately, but still fun to see.

I saw the game. Armanti played great again and did not drop a pass thrown his way. He could have had more passes but was out a series because of a late hit to the head once he was on the ground. Is back up caught a wide-open touchdown pass while he was out for that series. He did not take a snap at quarterback but it was a quick out to him and he wisely threw it out of bounds because the receiver was covered down field. I think he has something crazy like a 95% catch write this season. He has only dropped a couple of balls.

Gainey had a nice pass breakup in the third. I was in Vancouver during the game, pretty neat.

Looks like AE is back on the roster for tonight's game

Id assume he likely was held out due to the CFL's concision protocall. He took a pretty nasty late hit to the head two games ago. Also, good. Their offense did not seem to operate as smoothly without him in there last game.

I certainly hope he is 100% and continues the great season he's having. I knew he took a hit, and hope he just sat out as a precaution.

Had two catches for 18 yds. The Argos QB is out and their passing game suffered. FWIW, AE got called for a PF for arguing with a CFL ref over what should have been a PI call in the end zone. The refs missed the call and AE went off on one of them drawing the flag. I haven't seen Armanti that angry since the 08 Elon game. The Argos lost 21-9.

Armanti Edwards thought he was through with football.
In August 2014, after he got fired from an NFL team for the third time, Edwards decided that was it........

Pretty good article, but I thought "fired" was a little unusual word when referencing being cut from a roster. Also, the article said Armati is 5'11" instead of the 6' 1'' our program used to show.

I thought the same thing. You never really hear the word "fired" used with regard to athletes and I really don't think it is an appropriate term because of the implications. The nature of professional sports is transient. Athletes are brought in on a trial basis and decisions are made differently. The jargon is adapted accordingly. Athletes have "try outs" instead of interviews. They are waived or released instead of laid off or fired. The decision to release an athlete because his skill set is no longer a fit is not the same as being fired (which implies "cause" or violation of the terms of employment).

Otherwise, it was an excellent article. I am very happy that AE has found a home and is still able to play football!

Go App! Go Argos!

Gameday programs almost always add an inch or two and 20 lbs. My money says AE is closer to 5'11".

It should be no surprise why Hurney did not comment. AE was the rope in the tug of war between he and Fox. Why I still pull against the Panthers.
