AWESOME game! Nailbiter. AE leading receiver. 5 catches for 81 yards. Argos win in last seconds with a field goal.

That was a nice catch at the end of the game. After the 2nd down run play after the AE catchI was saying to myself, "and that is another Argonaut First Down!"

His catch to set up the TD in the first half was a work of art. I hope the CFL website has a video of it. AE did a double move that left the defender on his heels. AE nearly scored, tackled at the 2.

I wish I had seen this game. Are replays of ESPN2 games available on Watch ESPN?

Yes, and this games was ready for replay soon after the game ended. I only saw the 2nd half. If you find the AE catch mentioned above post the time so I can get to that play without having to sit through all of the first half.

The video of the play is on the cfl.ca webpage under coverage for the game. Not hard to find.

He also did a good job blocking for the other receivers and on run plays.

Does anyone know (without looking) how the Argonauts got their name?

If memory serves, I think there's a tie in to Jason and the Argonauts of Greek mythology fame and something about the original owners of the team being in a rowing (?) club. Jason and the Argonauts sailed on a ship called the Argo in search of the golden fleece

Very good!

Rowing club was the connection. Argonaut Rowing Club was based in Toronto and sponsored the team many decades ago. Of course the rowing club got their name from the Greek myth of Jason, but technically the football team name came from the rowing club.

Hamilton also have an interesting history with the hyphenated name coming from a merger of two teams in Hamilton. The Hamilton Tigers and Hamilton Wildcats.

I love Wikipedia for stuff like this.
