Armanti's 2018 season begins Friday

Unread post by appstate77 » Thu Jun 14, 2018 12:08 pm

AE begins his third CFL campaign, starting at Slotback for Toronto. The Argos play AE's old team Saskatchewan Friday night at 9:00 Eastern time. ESPN 2.

Armanti is coming off a 1000 yd receiving year and winning the Grey Cup.

FYI....a DB that Armanti is going against Friday is Ed Gainey, one of the CFL's best D backs.

Mountaineer against Mountaineer...ought to be fun.

FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!!

Bump!

Have become a fan of the CFL since keeping up w/ AE there...fun trip to Toronto last season for a game...love the fast pace and the different rules from the NFL.

5 catches for 54 yds. AE and Gainey faced each other once. Pass was knocked down at the line.

Argos got destroyed. AE had only 2 catches for 13 yards.

Calgary 41-7. Well, you can't put it all on AE given that score.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Argos really struggled last night. Sounds like Ricky Ray may be ok following his injury though I can't see his returning soon. It's fun to see football in the summer. I definitely like CFL better than NFL. The speed of the game makes it a fairly close cousin to the college ball I love.

If serving is beneath you, then leading is beyond you.

If Ray cannot go, it would move AE to back up as he is the ER QB for the Argos. I hope Ray is alright. He took a wicked hit for an old man.....if you consider 38 old.

In today's game against Edmonton, AE had three catches for 49 yrs and a 2 point convert ....as they call it in Canada to put his team ahead to stay. In the following drive, AE had a possession catch to keep the ball away from Edmonton with under 2 minutes to go......
