Free Armanti

With the addition of Hixon and Ginn Jr. this week, I think its safe to say AE is done as a Panther. Those that follow the inner workings of the NFL more than I, when would it be likely that he would be freed?
At this point is he locked in to training camp? Is this the last year of his contract? If so, I imagine he's a cheap option and if cap space gets tight and he's head-to-head with Ginn, then he might win out...but that is a semi-ignorant statement since I don't really follow the business side of the NFL.
Personally, I think someone should pick him up and work him at slot receiver. Get him into some space, stop doing wheel routes. Get him the ball with a few feet of separation (think Welker) and let him do his thing.
The Panthers have just seemed determined to turn him into something he isn't.
Stop the insanity and let Armanti go. </panthers rank>
