Let's consolidate this into one place. Here is a list of the Apps drafted and UDFA's.
5th Round-Pick # 165: Sam Martin-Detroit Lions
7th Round-Pick # 210: Demetrius McCray-Jacksonville Jaguars
UDFA's
Steven Miller-Detroit Lions
Jeremy Kimbrough-Washington Redskins
Troy Sanders-Atlanta Falcons
Rod Chisholm-Washington Redskins (Tryout)
That's six baby....

(if Rod makes it)
Figured I'd better edit my original since he does at least have a tryout.

i'm torn on Sanders to the Falcons. as an App homer im ecstatic he's getting a chance, but as a Panthers fan it saddens me

All I can say is that I wish all of these Mountaineers the very best of luck. The NFL is one difficult place to play and I hope that all of them have the opportunity to perform well.

Does this technically make it 6 players now from App's program?
Personally I had my doubts after Coach Kent left but I have to say I was wrong and it looks like the S&C program is in good hands with Kareem.

Any updates on which UDFA's stuck after rookie camp?

Martain is pretty much being handed the lions punting duties, last year the Lions had one of the worst net punting averages in the NFL, and one of the worst pecentages of punting the ball inside the 20, and what makes this even worse they are a dome team. If he just goes out and punts like he did at App, he is probably going to be the starter.

Sanders and Kimbrough are still on their respective teams. Haven't found anything about Chisolm
I did see that Tanyi signed with Denver. So far Rod is the only one that I haven't seen stick with a team

Thanks.
I know not an APP but I am still shocked that Breitenstein is not getting a serious look. I thought after seeing Felton in the nfl that big B woudl be a layup.

unfortunately, he is trying to break into the NFL at a position that just isn't used as much anymore (FB) and teams that do utilize one, they already have one

This is exactly why Breitenstein should have come to Appalachian, where he would have played 2nd string LB, been a ST guru for 3 years before finally starting at RB his Sr year, breaking all single season records and showing those NFL scouts his versatility.
