Armanti Edwards makes morning's best catch at Carolina aother OTAs.

Best catch at Carolina Panthers OTA Thursday was made by Armanti Edwards. Edwards lined up left, ran a go route and went high for Cam Newton's pass. Cornerback Josh Norman went with him. Edwards reached out, grabbed the ball and hung on when he hit the ground.

In a three-receiver drill at the end of practice Edwards lined up with Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell and the first team.

Edwards says he doesn't hear people say that he won't make the team this season. He says he doesn't read the paper or listen to sports talk radio.

He says his reaction, when the Panthers signed Ted Ginn Jr. and Domenik Hixson was: good. More weapons.

I am cautiously optimistic about Armanti's chances this season in Charlotte. I wish him nothing but the best and if for some reason, he ends up somewhere besides Carolina, I have a sneaking suspicion that he may produce more quickly.

Good to see he's practicing with the first team. But if he gets cut, it may be the best thing to ever happen to him. There are plenty of teams that would throw to him. Carolina doesn't seem to be one.

He's always an offseason all-star, then gets 0 chances in the regular season. Yet another depressing aspect of being a Carolina Panthers fan.

Truth. We see highlights every year in the preseason of him tearing it up in camp. He leads the team in receptions in the preseason.

Then the regular season comes and they put him in to pass block 2-3 times a game.

I gave up trying to figure it out. The disconnect between pre-season performance and game time snaps is just huge. On top of that he has made the most out of the plays that call his number.

Pickles has done a GREAT job as clipboard holder these past two years.

Sorensen deserves some love. I've talked to him and he wants Armanti to succeed

That's because he cashes in on the Armanti story lines. Sorenson is a prick.

Sorensen likes App. iIf you know hiM he's not a prick . If he picks on something you like then he is one.

Additionally each year they have some punt returner that is going to tear things up.
They always come in and make a couple of good plays then fumble the ball continuously.
Don't believe Armanti fumbled even once last year.

When they believe that he is the best option for them to win they will play him. That is not to say they are not wrong in their opinion of him being the best option to win. What it does say is that it does not matter how they feel about him as a person when it come time to decide who is going in on this play. If he continues to improve he will play somewhere. He will play where they believe he is the best option. There is no doubt they love him as a person. The love is starting to build as a player. If he makes the cut look for him to get more time this year. That comes from a scout who does not work for the panthers.
