Presley to the Panthers PS

De'Andre has been signed to the Panthers practice squad. Thought he might have a chance at that with all their losses at DB last week. Not sure how I feel about it. Happy for him but waiting for the App State haters to come out in full force in a few minutes.

Good Luck to D in Charlotte.

Glad to see that, good for him!

As far as the "hater" part...they really can't say the Panthers were winning before he came at least.

Nope they weren't. I lost my earlier 10 bucks back though. I bet it would take 20 minutes for the haters to come out in force. I should have given the Huddle more credit. It only took 10.

Well it's always good to win a bet, but it's sad seeing people feeding so much on being negative. But that's one thing age as done for me, it taught me that you can't change how others are. That makes it a lot easier to let stuff flow over me. :D

Any news on why AE is seeing no playing time again? Read an article prior to last week's game that the coaches were going to use him more in this game and I don't think he was even in on one play all day. Injured?

He was in a couple plays, Cam made a couple bad attempts at him. I think Cam as a little problem seeing receivers, he seems to focus on just one at a time. That might be due to how fast the D is getting to him however.

I think they have a little problem picking someone to go with and leaving them in long enough to get warmed up.

He was in several times on Sunday. This time I don't have to rewatch the game to make sure. The announcers even brought him up. He was playing the 4th WR and replaced Smith for a couple of plays when he had the wind knocked out of him. If you remember when Ginn gator armed the go route in the 2nd, AE came in on the next play and ran the exact same route. He was WIDE open, no one within 10 yards of him, but Cam was looking at Smitty the whole way and threw into double coverage. They also tried the quick WR hitch/screen route which Cam overthrew by about 5 feet. And he ran a 7 yard out where he waited for about 3 seconds before the ball came at him and the DB was able to close and nearly pick it off. Those are just a few I remember. He was in for a few more but Cam was getting knocked on his butt almost every play and I don't think he was targeted much more.

I responded to Jonathan Jones' (Observer) tweet about Presley and how Panthers' fans heads were about to explode.

 Yeah, I caught that in my twitter search engines. Not too far from the truth. CSR hasn't put the thread up yet but as soon as they do it'll be flowing there also.

OK, missed him the few times I was able to watch the game. Did not see him in the box score either. You are correct, Cam has a terrible problem of telegraphing his passes. Opposing linebackers and safties are loving him.

I was glad to see the DeAndre news on Twitter. Every interaction I've had with him and everything I've seen from him has been positive. I would love for him to succeed in his dream.

As far as AE playing time goes, I think it's more an issue that Cam Newton doesn't have the time or the ability to check off receivers beyond the first option on any given play. I don't know how much of that is a swiss cheese O-line and how much is Newton himself. I did see a couple of plays Sunday in which AE would have been a very nice target had Newton seen him.

Cam is playing as if he has blinders on so far this season.

Great news for DP. What do you think the chances are that they go for Corey Lynch if the injury bug continues?

Cam Newton has terrible field vision and is not really good with his read progression. Hopefully he gets it together. He looks to Smith and the tight end way too often. Armanti can make plays but there are so few opportunities. He was targeted last game but Newton was horrible. If he got as many snaps as Lafell he would impress. But he is not the #2 and that is how it is. He would be a perfect fit for New England right now.

Jerry Richardson keeps yet another former SoCon player's dream alive. I think he is a little partial.

Easy solution. Move Armanti to QB. :D
