Watched the very first of this game - Cadet returned the opening kickoff and Quick was on the field with the first unit on their first TD - in fact, on the TD pass he was flanked wide left and took the DB with him on a short post and the RB slipped into that area and went untouched for the TDappbanker wrote:Looking at the box scores Quick had 1 target with no catches. Armanti had 3 targets with no catches. DJ Smith looked pretty good for the Panthers. He made a good stop on the goalline, although the announcers credited Ealy.
Martin's first punt was 55 yards.moehler wrote:Miller look really strong, very quick, made the first and second guys miss, ya, it was against mostly 3rd stringers, but he probably played well enough to make it to the next round of cuts. Martin, on the other hand, didn't have a great night, the 2 punts I saw were only 38 and 40, with not alot of hang time, and the announcers made the comment that these were below average punts.
according to the stats the punt was 59 yardshapapp wrote:Martin's first punt was 55 yards.moehler wrote:Miller look really strong, very quick, made the first and second guys miss, ya, it was against mostly 3rd stringers, but he probably played well enough to make it to the next round of cuts. It was probably because the Cleveland announcers kept calling him Sammy.moehler wrote:well, he used everything up in that first punt, because the next two, a high school kid could kick it that far.
Well the 3rd one was 40 yards but was fielded inside the 15 by the Cleveland return guy - Didn't see that as a poor kick at all, looked more like poor coverage ---moehler wrote:well, he used everything up in that first punt, because the next two, a high school kid could kick it that far.
I know - the first time I thought I had misheard the announcer ---DaphneUrquhart wrote:It was probably because the Cleveland announcers kept calling him Sammy.moehler wrote:well, he used everything up in that first punt, because the next two, a high school kid could kick it that far.
Miller had a fumble on a kick return and Peacock dropped his easiest catch and first target. If Miller doesn't fumble and Peacock makes his easiest target I think both would be in a great position, unfortunately they did not, Miller looked very Sprolesish catching falls out of the backfield and Peacock made two or three tough catches.moehler wrote:Miller look really strong, very quick, made the first and second guys miss, ya, it was against mostly 3rd stringers, but he probably played well enough to make it to the next round of cuts.
