I'm watching Hard Knocks right now just saw Quick catch a touchdown pass and his buddies went nuts.

Anyone who gets a chance this week to watch Hard Knocks should. Pay attention to Coach Fisher's lecture on safety with the transportation around campus, then watch closely the ATV/Dune Buggy, the passenger, and what happens. It gets addressed a little later on in the program during the team meeting.

Quick has been targeted 3 times tonight. He caught 1 and dropped 2 that hit him in the hands. The announcers mentioned "there's a reason why he is out there with the 2's and 3's". Quick better pick it up.

Like many of us I always check the box scores of games that include former Mountaineers. Hate that we rarely see much from BQ. Hope he puts it together these last 2 games. Marginal receivers don't seem to get much of a look with other teams.

He always made due based on his size rather than his hands, even when he was at Appalachian.

I still cant watch that Montana game.

He was lauded for his down field blocking during a replay. We will see.

Unless you are an exceptional player or at least a consistent performer, an NFL career is pretty short. There is always someone ready to take your place.

I wonder, and this is pure speculation if Quick mentally is done with football. Remember, he didn't play football until high school, and his first true love was basketball. I knew Quick personally while in college, we used to party together him and Cedric Baker, as well as played together on intramural bball squad; and at times I didn't feel like he had the full passion for football. I also know that it was tough for him to let things go. Drops mentally ate him up. Maybe the mix of his injury, plus less than stellar play over the years is catching up with him. Again this is all speculation.

After his injury it was reported it was so severe he might never play again --- probably some mental trepidation there as well (I certainly would have some) ---

With the injury he may have some mobility issues with the shoulder and or weakness in that arm still.............That was one of the nastiest injuries you could have to a shoulder/arm

Coach Fisher said " Brian needs to start catching some balls.... Too many drops." Based on comments and performance I'd say he has a better than 50% chance of getting cut.
