To add to the Socon coaching carousel, UTC's very own Russ Huesman has taken the head coaching job at Richmond where he was a DC under Wake's HC Clawson.

That whole thing is weird. Rocco to UDel from Richmond seems like a lateral move and Huesman from Chatty to Richmond seems like a lateral move.moonshine wrote:To add to the Socon coaching carousel, UTC's very own Russ Huesman has taken the head coaching job at Richmond where he was a DC under Wake's HC Clawson.

From what I've read, Rocco was making around $428k while RH was making $246k at UTC. The Mocs tried to up Russ' pay. I believe RH's wife is from VA so that may have been a contributing factor on top of the dollars. Not sure what UR is paying him but obviously UTC couldn't match it!
"The UTC administration has countered by putting together a financial package to attempt to keep Huesman in Chattanooga, another source said. That package is in the range of $315,000 to $325,000, although Richmond could offer substantially more money, possibly up to two times Huesman's current salary of $246,000."

This just goes to show what kind of discount App was getting with Moore. Some of these figures are approaching low level FBS salaries.
