Re: Week 4 - Other scores
We’ve got to pony up and fire him.
Look at the rest of the Sun Belt. Marshall hanging tough. JMU rolling. South Alabama destroyed us. Coastal is good. UL hanging with Tulane. Texas State…etc.
We will end up like NC State of we keep this up.

At least we get taken out of the Clemson record books for the first half score!

Re: Week 4 - Other scores
As mentioned above….JMU destroying UNC….Marshall and Coastal looking like they belong on the field with Ohio State and UVA and UL doing ok against Tulane….we have been in a steady decline for 5 years….we have fallen to the bottom of the belt….peer universities are competitive against P4 teams and good G5 teams….its not money our how we scheduled the start of the season….not what I want to say….its our coach

JMU scored 70 on a P5 team. Our reign in the Sun Belt ended when we hired Clark.

EasyU put up 70 during Fedora's last year. Mack will be encouraged to exit stage left at end of year.

Re: Week 4 - Other scores
I’m seeing way too much loser mentality after 4 games, 2 tough ones and less than 3 days to get ready for SoAla.
Save all the vitriol for a season postmortem. And we aren’t buying out anyone before the season ends.

Re: Week 4 - Other scores
I am not at all a glass half full person or on this board but here is a reality.
The two games you mentioned “tough ones”, we were NEVER in those games. We got annihilated and embarrassed by a top FBS and a conference peer. It is not like we played either close. We have been out scored 65-0 in the first qtr in just four games. Slow starts have been common for the last few years to boot. Something that has not been fixed by this staff on a consistent basis. I have to be truthful to what I am seeing. Short weeks are not an excuse to get rolled by a SBC peer program.

Why is Coastal’s basketball color guy also the football color guy?

Re: Week 4 - Other scores
Yeah. And he just called a second half time out by Coastal a “good call.” Second half time outs are time coupons that they won’t be able to use late.

Re: Week 4 - Other scores
We could have had 2 months to get ready for Southern Alabama and it wouldn’t have mattered. They have much better players. So much being made of the short week. The guys who play for us aren’t 50 year old men who need 2 weeks to recover from a long golf weekend. They are 20 year old guys who have trainers and nutritionist to help them recover. If we lost by a score and showed signs of fatigue in the 4th qtr I might say the short week played a role, but we got curb stomped from the get go. It amazes me how some folks can look straight at something and not see it or pretend not to see it. We have failed to recruit the players we need to compete.

Re: Week 4 - Other scores
We had 2 paths we could take in 2019/2020.
1. Continue being the Bama or Georgia of the G5 (because that’s the track we were on)
2. Regress to a middling G5.
Not difficult to see where we are. That’s what pains 95% of us. We were so close to being the G5 guy. Now, we’re in the middle half of the Sun Belt in a short 3 years.
