I agree with you bothappstatealum wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 3:49 pm100%. I never understood the hate on him. It was obvious he was improvising and gun slinging to compensate for our lackluster offenseah59396 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 3:06 pmHis INT numbers were bad last year but I’ll always contend that like 25% of that was him and 75% the situation we put him in. We started damn near every game in a 14-0 hole and then had to throw the ball a ton to try to claw our way back. Defenses knew it and could just sit back and wait.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
The reality is he was looking to get a pay day and get closer to home. Loggains would have definitely welcomed a former All-SBC player back but Joey already decided he was leaving. I don't blame him for quitting on App and deciding to get the pay day. I completely understand him quitting for the money because at that time he had to know he needed to improve a lot to make it in the NFL. Based on the year he had in 2024 he would have probably just gotten a rookie mini-camp tryout.AppDub wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 5:42 pmIn all fairness, Joey and App had moved on thinking his eligibility was exhausted then he found out he had another year once the ruling came down extending JUCO eligibility. At least that is what has been shared on here. I dont see him as quitting on App at all. Wish him nothing but the best.
Regardless, he does not go to App anymore. People are torturing themselves hanging on what he does. Swann is our QB and Tennessee's results do not effect us at all.

Either way, wish him nothing but the best. His success makes App look better.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 6:00 pmThe reality is he was looking to get a pay day and get closer to home. Good luck to him. No ill will. Joey has Rocky Top now so I just think our fans need to support Swann and our current roster.AppDub wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 6:01 pmEither way, wish him nothing but the best. Get used to it. The majority of players we get invested in over one season will be gone the next. Joey left it on the field for AppSt and has a little black and gold in his veins

Glad to support Swann. Wish he wouldn't throw interceptions in the end zone though.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 6:03 pmGood luck to him. No ill will. 100% agree. Our offense has got to do better protecting the ball overall.AppDub wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 6:12 pmGlad to support Swann. Which ones, the people fawning over a player that presided over a mediocre season and a non bowl eligible season or the people calling about that this is an app state board and not a random UT board

That’s a fair point. I guess I’m confused. This is an app state board. It’s obvious the collective mod team has some obviously questionable opinions, but I didn’t think they would come out and support this becoming a UT board. I find that to be # SAD and low energy. Some would say the mods are sleepy but I’ll give them credit for at least not being stroked out.
