Announced this morning that Mark Richt and UGA are parting ways "by mutual agreement." I doubt it was really mutual, but whatever. I wonder what the chances might be of Richt visiting Boone next Sept as HC of Miami? Its his alma mater after all. They could certainly use a coach of Richt's moral fiber down there. Anyway, he's a great guy and I hope he gets a great gig somewhere, if indeed that's what he wants to do.
Now if GA Tech would send Paul Johnson packing...

The name I've heard most linked with Miami is Mario Cristobal, but I did hear a few weeks back that they *might* be waiting out the season to see if Richt was available. Wouldn't be shocking.

Re: Richt Out at Georgia
Miami hasn't been the Miami of old on the field and off it. Randy Shannon had an impeccable off-field record as HC and Al Golden had a good record there as well. The big issue was the ponzi schemer who was their biggest donor for a while and wasn't vetted by the athletics department.
I get the feeling Richt is going to step away from coaching at least for a couple years.
