Idaho and NMSU didn't want to be full time members either so that hastened their exit. From everything I've heard it was a mutual decision.

Idaho's president and trustees are the only people that wants Idaho to drop down to the Big Sky/FCS, but they're the ones that count.

Good luck to the Vandals, wish they would stay Indy.

It would be very difficult for them to go independent. No guaranteed games, you have to find 11 opponents every year and probably still have to do some heavy traveling.

Also hard to play and recruit when no championship is possible as we saw in 2014.
