Hard to beat a team 3 times in a season I suppose, but we made it work against Ga State last year. Kerns has owned southern since he’s been in town, hopefully they tradition continues.

Good thing we just have to beat them once and not three times

I was hoping Georgia Southern would win in double overtime.

Given the format, the bye is not as big an advantage as in the past.

I thought about that right after I posted. In fact, the rest day may be an advantage for them. They have a game under their belts, and they are already used to a Thursday/Saturday schedule.

We just need to be who we are. Play D, muck things up, move the ball and hit the big FT’s. We played a full slate and earned our 2 seed. That’s all you can control but since it’s that time of year I’ll take some good luck too. Give ‘em Hell!

It will all come down to shooting, we’ll play tough defense just need the three guards to shoot well to win.

We need to play inspired D, because so will GASO. Our guards just need to play within themselves and we need for D. Gregory to get off early and often…. including rebounding. GASO is athletic and plays good defense. They have a good bench. They are not great shooters though.

I wonder what impact being defending tournament champs will have on the team. It can give them some level of confidence that they have done this before but it also could put some pressure on them. I agree with 11, we have to play within ourselves and not try to do too much. In some ways, they need to put last year out of their minds.
