Don't care about FCS anymore. It was nice and playoffs were fun but...

I think we have some FCS schools in the Sunbelt this year. Good lord how many people were in the hangar today?

Compare that to the Houston, Memphis crowd last night and yes that was an FCS environment.

I don't recall them showing the Idaho side of the stands. There could have been a larger crowd on that side.

They showed both sides it was very sparse. Still better than playing in front of that kind of crowd at Furman or Elon.

One of the times I was at Elon, the stadium was completely filled and had people sitting on the bank.

I think I read the Kibbie Dome holds 15K. Could not have had 10K yesterday. How do they stay FBS?

Their AD had a pregame interview in which he teased a possible *new* big sky. Most of the institutions he mentioned have no desire to go FBS, leading you to believe they're eyeing a step down.

This makes sense and goes right along with everything I've been told for the past few months. The Sun Belt knows it will not renew Idaho and NMSU, but they are waiting until after the season to make it official. NMSU has a large enough stadium, and enough teams close by to remain in FBS as an independent for a while. Idaho is a long way from most every school except Bosie and Wazzu, and they don't have a stadium big enough to draw anyone to them.

I must correct myself. Had not read the final stats. Announced crowd was 10,113. Must have been come dressed as aluminum week.

I know their fans don't want to hear it but that program is built for FCS and (assuming they could hang on to Petrino) could win a lot of games at that level, potentially becoming a big power. Someone posted here that they're not even funding all 85 scholarships so they're half way there anyway.

Washington State. The two campuses (Washington State and Idaho) are eight miles apart.
