And to think this team squeaked out a win over a FCS team just last week.

Sounds like a team that plays to the level of its competition.

Yeah, I don't get USA at all. Even goes back to last year, when they won at SD State yet couldn't even get bowl-eligible in the SBC.

I don't get it either. You only get to play so many games.

USA had a first time starter at QB.

South Alabama played really well last night with a backup QB. That is a really big win for our conference.

Strange season for them. Only manage three field goals against Georgia Southern but score big time against the #19 team in the nation. Also barely beat an average FCS opponent. But that FCS opponent barely lost to a UGA team that was a Hail Mary away from controlling their destiny in the east. I have a feeling CFB as a whole will be a head scratcher this year.

Another example of how close many G5 programs are to middle of the road P5s and ranked G5s. Will be tough for us to beat S. Alabama and Troy.

We don't play South Alabama this year.

I was amazed at the attendance. My guess , based on TV shots of the crowd, is about 10,000. Plenty of empty seats. I cannot imagine KBS having empty seats when we play a top 25 team.

As I posted in another thread, when you let TV set the time of kickoff less than 2 weeks prior to the game, you will sacrifice butts in the seats.

The general consensus in the other thread was that was OK, because we got $250,000 for the TV game.

So, quit yer whining.
