I wonder if these guys make it back on the team. Video evidence is pretty damning, regardless if property was returned and they cooperated. If not, that's a whole lot of players to lose.

Hard to believe these guys could be so stupid. I would hope it's just a misunderstanding but the article says the stolen items were recovered so it doesn't look good. Guess they had their "Cam Newton" moment and it could cost them dearly. It doesn't help Hud's reputation either.....

What stuck out to me was that every player linked to the alleged incident was 20+ years old, so it's not like we're talking about freshman who were off on their own for the first time. Sounds like most of these players were contributors on the field. If they aren't reinstated for the season, the Cajuns could lose nearly 30% of their 2-deep.

Which would likely mean an even earlier mass exodus from KBS on December 2

My questions are 1) How do you get 13 players in a dorm room ? and 2) What would be in a dorm room that would require 13 men to do the job?

I don't know the official head count, but we used to pack some people in dorm rooms in Justice for some Jungle Juice parties. Maybe their dorms are larger? The answer to number two is probably nothing of real value, and a result of peer pressure and wanting to fit in with others making poor decisions.

If they remain suspended, I'll be very surprised. No coach is going to self inflict damage to his win/loss in todays job market. there's enough time to let this die down.

We need to quit protecting some and throwing the hammer on others.

Could have been a suite-style room (like Summit Hall) or apartment style (like App Heights).

The number of people involved in this "heist" and the detail of the list (8 and a half pairs of socks....really?) suggest something bizarre was going on. All totaled, the heist represents a few hundred dollars. What a ridiculous decision for 13 young men to trash their reputation and possibly their college career over a stupid thing like this. It almost seems like a prank gone horribly wrong, but I doubt they are laughing now.
