I have not seen any charts/models/projections that put any potentially destructive part of the storm in the vicinity of Jonesboro on Saturday.

most likely because Miami and South Fla are in the direct target area and the U doesn't want guys worrying about a football game --- tough break for ArkSt - I'm guessing they probably would have had a good gate for this game ---

Irma is said to be worse than Andrew.

U Miami may not be able to fly out of Miami.

If they can that would be their best bet, wouldn't it?

It's more concern about Miami getting back home, plus worrying about families while gone. Sucks for StAte, but the only decision they could make. I'm sure they will go back when it can be arranged.
