I had high hopes before the season we could handle Wake, but 3 games in for both teams, I am not so sure.

As the old commercial went, this is not your father's Demon Deacons. We seem to have a knack for catching FBS teams at their best. Wake looks ready to challenge their division in the ACC. This win would be at least as big as if we'd beaten Tennessee last year. Pretty safe to say this will be our most difficult challenge the rest of the season, including any bowl game. I hope we can rekindle some old Rock magic, and at least make it a very competitive game.

I watched some of this game. The deacons looked really good and Utah state looked really bad. We will have to play a really well planned, mistake free game to be in it just like we would against any acc team.

They beat Presbyterian, a mediocre Boston college, and a not so good Utah state. This doom/gloom doesn't cut it for me. Yes wake was bad in the 80s me 90s but we always went there with the feeling we could win even with fewer scholarships. They are coming here...let's spank that ass and kindly show them the hwy directions 1 1/4 hrs down the mountain! Also, lest we forget, I think APP has been sitting a few players to let them heal. Hopefully, we will be at full strength...I know I will be!
