Watching this game on the U. How would we match up against either one of these 2 teams? Especially Toledo if we see them again in December? They look pretty good to me.

Figure there is a good chance we get blown out in any bowl game. Unless something changes on our end.

Don't get your assumption here - Hell, UGA didn't even blow us out compared to what they have done to SEC opponents --- Why do you assume anyone from the MAC would blow us out?

Current injuries have compounded some issues. We aren’t that good currently. Hope thing turn around.

Not denying your point here but my thought is if we can stay relatively healthy defensively I feel we can hang with anyone left on our schedule and any MAC team we might face ---

UGA is a wayy better team now. We have regressed. Rematch would look like the VT game bcoach says never happened.

I would feel better about the defense when Stringer gets healthy.

I wouldn't pick any MAC team to blow us out. But folks are really getting carried away with the whole "We played UGA closer than SEC teams" talking point. Guys, the game was over by halftime and was a massacre by the end of the third. They pulled their starters and we got a couple garbage time scores off their #3 QB. Don't kid yourselves into thinking that means we were somehow competitive.

Agreed and had UGA played their starters more than 3.5 Qtrs it would have been much more of a blow out. Ohio, Toledo and NIU have looked very good during their games this week. If we make it to a bowl I feel it’s inevitable that we will draw one of them.

09 - I'm not trying to live in the past regarding the UGA game - I just made a point to refute the post that we would get blown out - nobody is talking a rematch, OK - now if you believe we will get blown out by a MAC team in a bowl game please give reasons why...
and EastHall - I guess you know that UGA beat MissSt 31-3 Tenn 41-0 Vandy 45-14 Mizzou 53-28 and UF 42-7 but I'm guessing they played their first teamers the entire game???

Toledo is GOOD! Not to take anything away from Toledo but not too impressed with NIU. Thought they were better talent than what I saw tonight.

At this point I would say it would be a close game and we would win or lose by two scores or less. Until things change, those are my thoughts on every opponent left on our schedule, as well as any opponent we face in a bowl.

I doubt it. I just know they demolished us. And bragging about a slightly smaller margin of defeat than other teams, because of a couple meaningless scores, is the kind of thing I expect from losing programs.

Why can't we just say "Yeah they handed it to us that night, but there's no shame in that because they've done the same to just about everyone else" and leave it at that?

AGAIN - the basis of my point wasn't about UGA, it was regarding the comment that we would get blown out by a MAC team - take out what I said about UGA and them comment on my post ---
"Don't get your assumption here - Hell, UGA didn't even blow us out compared to what they have done to SEC opponents --- Why do you assume anyone from the MAC would blow us out?"

We should heal up some by bowl time. With that said, I believe we could possibly take Ohio and NIU. But, Toledo would be a different story.

Toledo is really good - the only guy they lost from last year's team was the RB Hunt - who is now starring for the KC Chiefs ---
If we win out and they win out do you guys want to play the best team we could conceivably play or a team we have a better change of beating? ---

I'd rather play a team with a better chance of beating unless we're in a big-time bowl which won't be the case this year. Also, if we're back at Montgomery playing the same team again...been there done that. I don't mind going back to Montgomery, it's awesome, but let's play somebody new.
