Judy looked down her nose at us, while through "Rose" colored glasses thought they deserved to be considered in the elite of their conferences. There is a reason that she didnt want us to be in the same conference and it's because deep down inside she knew we would kill the football program. In her defense, she didn't want football because she didnt see the fan support outside of a few zealots.
Judy knew football would require someone better than herself at the helm and in the end she was right. UNCC, just like GA St., will prove to be a football program that can make bowl games. Attendance will come with wins and I'd bet they make a bowl game by 2020.

With the right AD and coach they will be fine.

I dont see them ever being a consistent winner though. Same for GSU. Lets be honest the Panthers were an average team that was slightly better than a few other average teams.

Now they’ll find out they can’t do better. Not even the greatest AD of all time Doug Gillin can’t change a commuter school culture into a football school culture. You can’t just conjure up a college experience when it’s simply not there.

We are Grady Davis.

You really get off on that commuter school crappola, don't you. As you've been told numerous times, they have more students living on campus than we do. To boot, they have access to more bars by far than we do. They are a basketball school and when they are winning, they pack Halton; something we haven't done in Holmes since opening night.
They will never be a consistent winner in football, but are likely to have a good year sooner or later. Hell, our attendance in KBS would be worse than theirs if we were in our infancy like them and with a sorry record like theirs.

Both will be able to recruit and have enough student funding to make up any deficits until the fanbases are engaged.

At the G5 level all it takes in a competent AD and coaching staff. I think they’ll both go through periods of 2-3 years of 6-9 wins followed by 2-3 years of 3-6 wins, rinse and repeat.

Maybe the none-r fans will put away their pitchforks. Ole Judy wanted none of us. :D

Maybe their new AD will come to his senses and move next season's game to KBS.

I do not understand your point NewApp. Please explain. Are you saying App does not travel well, or that their stadium is only holding 10,000?

They could have 20,000 seats, it will still be an App home game in everyway but location.
