Georgia State steps in it...
Read the comments... OUCH! Reminds me of the time where WASU openly supported the ‘holes. But this is the OFFICIAL Football Account...

I'd rather say we lost to the National Champions.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2018 10:38 pmWas going to pull for Georgia, however at this point, Roll Tide! LOL

In reality I'm pulling for Ga too, my statement was said with tongue planted against my cheek. It was in response to the GaState/UGa mascot post above, throw-up material.

I’m pulling for the Dawgs as well. But when another college is officially proud and cheering for another school....that is a bit too much for me.

Guys, it's obvious is it not? GA ST is playing the long con; make GA fans feel like they are one in the same possibly claim a portion of the National championship and then eventually steal all of there fans and rule the world . It is cyrstal clear.
FREQS AND GEEKS!

Agreed, I've always respected individuals more when the stand on their own merits/two feet, as opposed to riding other's coat tails. On a side note, I was pulling for all Sun Belt teams during Bowl games. However, that benefits the Conference as a whole. Once again, GaSt "kissing up" to Ga isAppstate88 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 9:44 amI’m pulling for the Dawgs as well. I think this is a smart move. Relatively new program in need of some exposure. Why not? Might attract some Georgia natives to games when the Dawgs are on the road.
Now if App State did this for UNC I'd be mad af, but with no ties to those schools I look at the marketing aspect of it.

Re: Georgia State steps in it...
I honestly don't see a big problem with a university supporting a "sister" institution in a game like this. As someone else pointed out....GSU is trying to score public recognition points wherever possible. I'm not saying I'd love it if App did something like this, but I wouldn't lose my mind either. I do think we are at a different point in development and more able to stand on our own. Basically, I don't know why we care what GSU does or doesn't do.

I don't think it would be similar to us supporting UNC, because we have a better program. It would be more similar to UNC Charlotte supporting us.

No, although we are certainly beyond UNCC in our football program, UNC is the state "flagship." If you think basketball it would make more sense. GSU was supporting the state flagship as they played for a national championship.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2018 11:49 amI don't think it would be similar to us supporting UNC, because we have a better program. I still come back to the question, why should we care? Too much time on our hands I think.
