Does Duke have any ties to a religious organization now?

WFU severed all ties some years ago. Meredith College has done the same. Pretty sure Davidson had done so as well.

All still have chapels on campus and religious studies degrees but not ones tied to a specific church that controls or funds the colleges.

Now ND, and BC being closely tied to the Catholic Church still have some conections. BYU does to the Morman Church connection but lots of privates have disconnected from a founding religious body, though not all.
Duke divinity and the Methodist Church?

I was thinking Duke Divinity was a separate thing from the rest of Duke now but on the same grounds but it seems they are still connected.

Duke is considered an affiliate university of the United Methodist Church. Duke Divinity is a recognized training facility for UM ministers. I have been to Sunday Worship at the Duke Chapel. It is led by the University Pastor-Chaplain who is on the faculty of the Divinity School.

Wake Forest is no longer affiliated with Southern Baptists. However they have a Divinity School and are affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, a group of "moderate-center" Baptists who broke from Southern Baptists 30 years ago. Other Baptist schools that have followed a similar model, that App is familiar with, include Gardner-Webb, Campbell, Vanderbilt and Furman. All but Furman have a Divinity School.
