NC State Football adds a game vs ECU to its 2018 schedule, which will be played unless either team qualifies for its respective conference championship game. The Pack and the Pirates also agreed to future matchups in Raleigh in 2025 and in Greenville in 2028.

Was hoping itd be us so we'd get a shot at another ranked team.

I was really hoping to get that contest with State. Hopefully in the future we can get a home&home with them.

Looking at the details it’s for Dec 1st. And the game would not be played if State or Ecu make a conference championship game.

Yeah, seeing some chatter bouncing around about who VT and others can schedule for their makeup games. When we come up, we're generally written off due to the chance that we could be in a conf. championship on that date.

I had just noticed that EZU had beat ODU this past week, ouch for ODU.

Never figured we'd consider it due to the date. Actually surprised State would schedule this while they're still undefeated, even given the cancellation stipulation.

Anybody needing to make up a game is not interested in playing us.

Knew it wouldn’t work out with State, they needed a home game and so do we. I thought ECU would be a viable option for us since they lost a road game and we need the home game. But alas.

We’ve got plans for that day.

We don't have an available date. Simple as that.

Even if we were for some reason looking to schedule a game on 12/1 *just in case*, why would another school want to add us when they know there's a good chance the game would never be played? Better to add someone who you know won't be busy, like ECU.

I’ve noticed that State has avoided scheduling us ever since Elder threw up on the field at Carter Finley.
