I really don't think Woody would come back unless he's HC or AHC. even then... he wants the p5 experience

Hmmmm....P5 experience...we've had discussions of disbelief as to why we were jilted for a P5.

My comment was somewhat in jest, and somewhat not. The new Ga Tech HC may keep him as he appears to be an offensive guy and may not really care about the defensive scheme as long as it's effective. Or, Woody could have other P5 offers. However, if we hire an offensive minded HC and Woody is unemployed - our money is better than no money and he left on good terms. Even if he were to leave again in a couple years, it would give us enough time to groom the next DC.

Don't forget Will Healy to Charlotte. They fired a coach that went 5-7, for a coach that went 5-6 in the FCS. I guess that's better...

Hugh Freeze will destroy it at Liberty, the guy can coach despite any possible personal short comings.

I’m not a big Liberty fan for multiple reasons, but I do serve at my church and consider myself a “God-fearing” man.... I was shocked to see this hire. Selling out for wins?

Redemption

Redemption is some God awful Kirk Cameron movie in 15 years depicting Hugh Freeze's rise from the ashes.

Actually, redemption / forgiveness are core Christian values, so I don't think it's necessarily a cause for accusations of hypocrisy. I have to admit that it is very interesting to see the pattern emerging though....first an AD who was straight from the Baylor fiasco and now Freeze. On the field, it is a huge hit for them. Maybe Freeze thinks that success at a conservative Christian university is the best was the "rehabilitate" his reputation. Maybe it's just desperation. If it blows up on them, it will be ugly but it could work out really well.

North Dakota St loses their coach in the middle of their playoff run. Perfect example of why they need to move National Signing Day back to February and you shouldn't be allowed to talk to coaches while their teams are still playing.
