I've been following their situation for a while. Amazing what a new president and new AD can do for a school. Dr Noland commisioned a study back in the fall and one of the biggest things the study recommended was bring back football. He then fired the AD (same Ad who dropped football) and has been on the ground running with this.

Also, from everything I've seen, the plans are for ETSU to build an outdoor football stadium, a new basketball arena and tear down the Mini Dump.

Did Fedupbuc not move to the new MMB or did she change her username? I would love to read her comments on this.

I'd wager that she's no longer fed up.

The SoCon should give ETSU an immediate invitation to rejoin the conference.

Talked to a guy today that owns a big interest in Food City grocery stores. Problems with where a stadium will be built. OVC, where they once were, might be an option. They feel it is a stronger overall conference in most respects. There is even some sentiment to start out as D2 in a close conference and keep everything in A-Sun for a few more years. Who knows. I'll be interested in what amount they think startup cost, sans stadium, will be. Just think what 65-75 practice uniforms will cost, then uniforms, coaches,...................

If they keep their basketball in a DI conference, the NCAA will not allow them to play sub-DI football. Their only other option would be non-scholarship FCS.
