UCF, Cincy, and others

APP is in the backseat to these teams for our Holy Grail of a NY6. They took care of business last night.

UCF 62 FAMU 0 Cincy 24 UCLA 14

What other do we need to watch (or hope stubs their toes)?

We want every team in the AAC and MWC to lose whenever possible. But mostly I'd say UCF, Cincinnati, Memphis, Houston, Boise, Fresno, and Utah State need all to lose their P5 games, a few games against lower tier tier conference opponents, and beat each other up as well.

Found it interesting that during that UCLA-Cincy game ESPN put a graphic up titled “NY6 Contenders” and of course App was included. They briefly mentioned the coaching change and Matt Hasselbeck chimes in with “do not sleep on Eli Drinkwitz”. I think Drink is respected throughout this profession a bit more than we might have known/thought.

I saw that. It was pretty cool to see us mentioned on national TV at this early date. Now if we can live up to the expectations.

Everybody pull for Wake tonight against Utah State. " O Here's to Wake Forest....."

Houston at Oklahoma

Boise at FSU

Fresno at USC

Memphis at UCF next week

Cincy at "The Ohio State" next week

after next week, good chance of APP and either UCF or Memphis being the only undefeated on this short bus.

our USC game will be important because it is late, these other schools are playing their toughest early.

The problem with Utah St is their dynamic QB. He has a Heisman campaign. If they are up there, ESPN will want them to showcase him.

Somehow think Wake will lose tonight. Too many around my work (work for their hospital) that think they’ll do pretty well this year. Couple WF gradsI know that are going don’t care about football so did no good to get their insight.

I’ll be surprised if Wake doesn’t cover the 3.5. Even more surprised if they lose outright. This is actually a talented team and Clawson has proven to be good coach.

I'll say this; Wake Forest can put points on the board. If they can figure out that they are supposed to keep the other team from scoring they could be a problem.
