This is why more people hate UNC than like them. Hell, most people who cheer for UNC are strictly basketball fans and have no idea of the arrogance and elitist attitude of the administration or many in the student body. I will not lump every student or alumni in with the vocal bunch, because I would wager there are a lot of alumni and current students who were offended by yesterday's display.

A Clemson grad friend of mine sent me this last night. Pretty sad what they did. I hope Doug G is all over this and makes sure it never happens at App.

Seems like the jokes were pretty tame. I’m no UNC fan but geez. This just really doesn’t bother me. To each their own.

Not quite to the level of the night they did huge damage to their locker room at Duke - UNC - University of No Class (literally and figurative)

I hate that school. I might start a petition to rename the state App state. My daughter is seeking a pre-med and softball and that school is mentioned. Please help.PS App is top list .

It's just so on brand for them. As the home team I get trying to manufacture some sort of "home field advantage"; but to be so desperate and aloof to the ramifications of this is kind of mind boggling. You should still be ambassadors of your institution. I want our opponents fans and players to leave KBS thinking "dang that place was loud and rocking and just a great atmosphere". Maybe that's just me.

From my son's experience, 3rd year now, Med school will be a challenge preparing and to gain entrance because it'll seem like it is a moving target on what med schools want, be sure she is open to ALL avenues if she desires to go into that field.

She is dead set. I’m trying to persuade her toward an engineering but it’s not going well.

Living in the Upstate of SC, you can imagine how tired I get of hearing how great Clemson is. That said, their athletic administration is first class over there and I'm confident they would never do anything like that to embarass fans of the other team. UNC really does have a problem with the elitist culture over there. So glad our boys took care of business.

I have literally never seen a sporting event where the home team highlighted the opposing fans in the stadium and make cheap jokes insulting their intelligence or body types. It's cheap and it highlights two things to me: 1) they have no football culture so they don't know how to act. 2) they obviously think their poop don't stink. But again on brand for them.

That was not a fat joke at all. One of the most famous Clemson players ever was William Perry who they nicknamed "The Fridge." He played at Clemson in the 80s I believe. It just so happened to be that the man they showed during that was large. Entirely coincidental. People are thinking way too much into it if they think that was a joke trying to insult the intelligence level of Clemson. All of those are jokes with the point that Clemson has a lot of bandwagon fans. It's really not a bad ploy by UNC when they knew that there would be a ton of orange in the stadium. NBA teams do this all the time to try to get the home fans into the game and motivated early on. That's what happened here.
