Conley has played a lot today because their starter has been in and out with injuries - he looks really good - just led a 98 TD drive --- He made the correct choice in following Coach Satterfield

Satt gets his first acc win 41-39. Not much D for either team, but fun to watch.

I think a lot of people thought Conley had a chance at playing this year, but saying it was the right decision for him to follow satt is a bit premature at this point.
Personally I will be surprised if he plays past this year once satt gets his choice at an ACC level an recruit. He was already down the depth chart and had to get injuries to get in. He is making the most of his opportunity, but if he has another 1-2 guys in front of him before his sophomore year, is it really a good move at that point?

Did you watch the game? - my point is he is playing ACC ball as a true freshman - he wasn't going to beat out Thomas this year or next -

Satt’s off to a nice start and Conley is playing well. Rehash old stuff if you like, I’ll just congratulate them and enjoy what we’ve got going at App.

Man, UL had 664 yards of offense, including 428 passing with their second- and third-string QBs. Just imagine what they’d do if Satt weren’t such a conservative play caller!

Maybe he should fire his DC for giving up 500+ yards and 30+ points..... tongue in cheek obviously. Satt has done a fantastic job already at the dumpster fire he went to. When he gets his guys in place the ACC and the rest of the country will be put on notice.

Conley made right choice for what he wanted. Louisville won't win but 1-2 more games this year but they are definitely better.
I know you are joking but in two years once Brown has some legit talent and more depth he will have them looking good. If you inherit the talent then the pressure is on to perform now but when you don't inherit much talent it takes a couple years.

Right, and my point is he could have been a 3 year starter for App instead of a backup for part of a season for UL then buried on the depth chart for the next 3 years.
If it was my kid, I would rather him have an outstanding sophomore junior and senior season as a starter rather than a few good appearances his true freshman season and never get an opportunity after that.
I said exactly this in December. Satt would use him as a crutch this year and after he gets his guy in, we won’t hear from Conley any more.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up transferring after next year if he is 2-3 on the depth chart.

He has good poise for a TF but his arm strength needs to improve.

I believe that he was the verbal commit that Satt ended up signing with U of L last December.

Conley looked poised and was definitely prepared and ready for his opportunity. Wish him and Scott the best.
