USC just beat #3 Georgia by a FG!!!!! It looks like the SC game will be tougher for App.

Maybe Georgia should not have been #3, but it is also likely that SC is not going to be an easy game, especially since it will be in Columbia and they will have a ton of game film on us by then and us on them as well.

If we can pull it off, that SOS definitely goes up!

SC is down to 3rd string QB. Lost LT during game. And a DE.

There's a lot of football between now and then. SCar has Florida next week. At Tennessee isn't a gimmie as they won today.

Great DBs and D-line. Will be one heck of a test for our o-line, ZT And the WR

They’ve got a stud 6’4 CB, great D-line, and speed all over the field. No question it will be the toughest game to win all year.

I love it coach, got to take care of business between now and then first.

All I can say is it will be very tough for us and Hilinski will likely be back to play QB against us. However, they play Florida a couple weeks before us and then play at Texas A and M and vs Clemson after us. All I am saying is depth could be thin by the time they play us and minutes for bigger players or guys coming back could be very limited. But, as we know they should NOT over look us. Go Mountaineers!

The upcoming South Carolina game now has even larger implications for App's program than it did before today's Georgia/SC game.

UNC beats South Carolina.
App beats UNC.
UNC loses to #1 ranked Clemson on the last play of the game.
South Carolina beats #4/strong national playoff contender Georgia.

Even if we don't beat SC, if we can keep it close, it shows--at least indirectly--that we can hang with the nation's elite programs.

Dillman and Lamb both with the program. They will not be overlooking us. I hope they don’t and I hope we take it to them. Pay dirt all day baby!

South Carolina has been up and down all year (just ask their fans) so I think we need to wait a few weeks to think about that game. We’ll see......Beat ULM!

2. I hope we don't overlook Georgia Southern because of the USC game. Losing to them hurts my soul.

Georgia's #3 rank was legit in terms of talent but they really haven't played like it lately. They were slow starting against Tennessee and looked horrible against SC. For some inconceivable reason, the Georgia OC decided to throw the ball 40+ times even though Fromm was clearly not having a good day. If they had just pounded it with their running game, it probably wouldn't have been close. That said, SC hates UGA and has always played them tougher than they "should." That's the nature of rivalries.

SC has always been an under achieving program but they have plenty of talent. Anyone who ever though this game was going to be a gimme or even remotely easy is completely kidding himself.

Hope they played their game of the decade. Before the season I thought we had a shot at winning in Columbia. They obviously have gotten better since playing the Holes. We may have to play our game of the decade to take this one.
