Thanks to all who viewed this thread, commented and voted - We Old-Heads tend to look back at the "good ol days" - First played in this stadium in the 4th grade @1957-58 - some really great memories.

Yes - Bluefield College just restarted its football program a few years ago - I think they discontinued playing in the 40s - Bluefield State played there until they discontinued football, actually I believe APP St might have played them there -
Also back in the 50s and early 60s - the West Virginia - Va Tech game was played in Mitchell Stadium

Just voted! My sons played there several times throughout their hs days. Witnessed Steven Peoples, Galax HS, run 502 yards there in a game which set VHSL game record.

That's great --- I'm guessing you might be Caleb's dad? (if so, I have watched him closely since day one because he was my home region - very solid player) - Most likely played against Graham - I played for Bluefield (100 years ago) -

Ahh..I just saw you mention Graham HS which is in VA.
