Way to go Shawn Elliott. Great win for Georgia State!

For one thing, it's knowing how to dot your i's and cross your t's and finishing a game.

Re: Georgia State, Elliott
I think it’s a combo of both. UT athletics is a dumpster fire (and has been trending in that direction for some years). GSUhas been trying to turn the corner for several years and may have finally gotten there.
Give 'em hell!

Re: Georgia State, Elliott
For some reason I feel like this will prove to say way more about UT than GSU.

Re: Georgia State, Elliott
I was glad to see a Sun Belt beat a P5. An SEC team at that! It'll be interesting to see if UT is completely awful, or if Ga St. is a solid foe. Perhaps a combination thereof.
Regardless, we're 1-0! Let's go App! Beat UNCC!!!!

Wow...I didn't even know this until reading this thread. Great win for Ga State & Elliot. Really wish they had shown score updates from around the league and other notable games yesterday at the game.

Re: Georgia State, Elliott
They should be. There is no excuse for any SEC team to ever lose to a SBC team. Look at it this way. Had Tennessee offered any of those GSU players they would have gone there.

Re: Georgia State, Elliott
I do not know how to post a link, but there is a good write up in USATODAY about Elliott and Georgia State. Elliott does not use many transfers. Most don't work out. He likes to get to know the players and build from the ground up. Wonder where he learned that!?
