Yes. I don't think either team belongs in the playoff. Oregon's defense shutting Utah out so far is the only real surprise. I'm not sure either offense would score more than 20 against us. It would be interesting to play them.

PAC 12 is garbage football. Occasionally during the regular season I will stay up and watch a game, and I've never been impressed.

This bodes well for us. Utah is out of the top 5 for sure which will elevate a SEC team.

Out of top 5 yes but does this not mean that 2 Pac-12 teams will go to NY6 instead of a 5th SEC team?

Utah is 5 and Oregon is 13(?). I don’t think Oregon moves up enough to jump an idle Florida, Alabama, or Oregon.

If Oregon wins they’re automatically in the Rose Bowl. Question is how far Utah falls.

With the committee, it isn’t a question of how far they fall, rather a question of where they are placed. I don’t think the PAC 12 has the clout to get two teams in the top 12. Could be wrong, I don’t pretend to know what they are thinking. But the PAC 12 is the P5 equivalent to the Sun Belt in terms of respect.

They should not. Oregon and Utah both should be in the 11-15 range but who knows. I don't think the Pac-12 has a top 10 team this year.
