Charlotte Bowl Game

Unread post by NavyApp » Fri Dec 20, 2019 3:19 pm

It's not looking so hot for those guys in the first half. A lot of sloppy play, and that wind is not helping any. Hopefully Healy can go into the locker room and make some adjustments to get the offense rolling. I would kinda like to seem them pull this off and send Lemay and Highsmith out with a win. Either way welcome to Bowl Season! #SPTA #B.O.B

Following the game on my phone while driving [edit] riding, my wife is driving. I'd say "not looking so hot" is an understatement. After all of the Healy and UNCC chatter this past week, I can't say that I'm disappointed that things aren't looking good for them. Reality check.

17-0 with about a quarter and a half left? A goose egg in their first bowl is not going to bring joy to anyone.

Gee, I’m kind of enjoying watching them get their asses kicked by the boot of reality.

I was listening to the Westwood One (or whatever is carrying the radio broadcast) and heard doing color.........Rob Best. I’m assuming it’s the same Rob Best of, “Why are you letting Rob Best call your first down plays, Drink!” Rob Best. Maybe not, but I got a good chuckle.

Loving the blue track. Attendance seems to be sparse at best.

Looks like Charlotte is going to be 0-2 while playing in a stadium with a track around it.

LOL! Too funny! Very interesting decision to go for three there. Let's see how it plays out for them, back to you Cotton.

Giving up 3rd and 18 on a draw is not inspiring.

Now I'm remembering how upset I was when we gave up 41 to them, even thinking they are not that good. Now I'm upset all over again!

Good thing ESPN put this one in the 130pm Friday afternoon primetime slot.

That's hard to say..... Spent a bunch of money to travel out of the country and brought a couple of fans all to get throttled by a 7-5 Buffalo team on the worst Bowl time slot of the season. I would be on my "#th too many drink" by now and be wondering how long Healy is actually staying.

Wait....why would you want to see Charlotte win again? Couldn't be more happy that they lost 31-9.

The Bahamas Bowl would be a good time if you're a 7-5 team. Think Miami would rather be in Shreveport at 6-6 or partying in the Bahamas?

The reality is they took advantage of a weak schedule. Healy injected some life into the program, but the only beat one team with a winning record (Marshall) and the rest of their wins were mainly against bottom feeders.

As far as attendance, that’s a hard trip the week before Christmas on a short schedule. Kudos to the fans that made the trip.
