I hope we never have to endure a bowl performance like I am seeing out of BC. Just terrible. This is why I only favor teams that go 8-4 or better playing in bowls and why I also hate these conference bowl tie-ins. App vs. Cincy would have been one heck of a good game.

Boston College is not good this year, plainly evident. That being said they are playing without their two best offensive players, one of which has been out most of the season (QB Brown). I think if Dillion had played the game would be slightly different but Cincy would still win comfortably. I know we all wanted a better name than UAB in the bowl game but personally I would rather have 2019 UAB vice 2019 BC. BC doesn't want to be there, their staff was asking for the game to be cancelled in the rain delay, but Fickell wasn't having it!

If comparing to the SEC and Big Ten or Big 12 then yes I agree but after Clemson there are 6-7 teams who are solid top 50 in the country. BC and Miami are not good but man UNC was 6-6 and we only beat them by 3 points. Do you think we would destroy the league and win by 20-30 points a night? I doubt that. For a team to be terrible they should be a team you would destroy and I feel like the only teams in the ACC that we would be worse than we beat Louisiana are NC State, Duke, GT, BC, and Syracuse. The rest of the league I bet would give us a good game. I feel like if we had the UNC schedule that we would have gone 10-2 with losses to Clemson and one of the 3 among VT, UVA, and WFU. To me Texas State, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, etc are terrible teams. Just to get in a bowl game as a P5 you have to be average or above average.

Most of your statement I would agree with. But when we look into BC season I think it is fair to call them a terrible FBS squad. Were they a bowl team? Yes. Should they have been? I don't think so. 4 of their 6 wins came against: 5-7 FCS Richmond, 2-10 Rutgers, 4-8 NC State, 5-7 Syracuse. Yes they do have two decent wins vs. VT and against Pitt but you can counter those with home losses to 3-9 Kansas and 6-7 FSU(which if you watched FSU play you would know those 6 wins are not indicative of how bad they are). Point being Boston College is terrible.

To be fair most of us went crazy when we beat UNC by 3 points. I really expected us to beat UNC but was one of those folks going crazy. That said I’m not going to say the ACC is terrible. I’m going to say BC was at the bottom end of the ACC and Cincinnati is one of the best G5 teams.

Oh I don't think BC is very good for sure. FSU got better as the season went on. Have to look at the wins of teams but I think you would hear SEC and ACC people say we don't belong in the top 25 because we don't have any good wins. Our best wins at a 7-6 UNC team by 3 who had to beat Temple to get above .500 and we beat Louisiana twice by 7 and 10. Miss State is considered a bad team who lost to Louisville and they beat Louisiana as bad as we did. We likely would have been 6-6 or 7-5 if we had been in the SEC East this year. G5 teams would be surprised how good most 6-6 or 7-5 P5 teams are. BC is terrible and so are some of them but many of them would have won 10 games in the SBC or MWC for sure.

Exactly. Cincy is suppose to beat them as a ranked team. I actually expected a 20 point win if Cincy truly is a top 25 team. I feel like Cincy should be ranked right behind us and just ahead of Air Force, Navy, and Boise.

BC is not terrible....like Texas State is terrible. They are just terrible considering all of the resources they have. But the ACC is not very strong. North Carolina was arguably #3 in the league despite being 6-6. Clemson and UVA are #1 and #2. Louisville and VA Tech had better records but way easier OOC schedules and ACC schedules. We would probably have finished 3rd in the ACC...maybe 2nd, maybe 4th.

I think as a general rule App competes for a top 4 spot in all P5 leagues except the SEC...depending on schedule draw we would go 7-5 to 4-8 in the SEC.

I really don't disagree with what you're saying but even good teams (not saying Boston College is a good team) have terrible games. Georgia had one of those games against SC this year and had one in last year's Sugar Bowl against Texas. I totally agree that I hope I never have to endure a game like that from App!

Beating BC will still carry some weight with pollsters, as silly as that may be.
