Sad news. Went to many App/Furman baseball games back in the SoCon days.

"In 2018, Furman was one of 247 NCAA schools to report a profit from baseball; Furman’s profit was the 128th largest of 941 schools."

My hope would be to limit travel, operational expenses and scholarship aid before eliminating sports.

Does anyone have insight into our own finances for sports like baseball or wrestling?
I’m worried we are going to be/are in the same position as well and are holding on for dear life right now in hopes it opens back up. I really don’t want to lose any of our NCAA sports.

66 would know better than me but I think wrestling has enough support from their alumni to handle things.

Major issue with wrestling, no summer camps this year. That will take a lot of money from their budget.

How much of that money actually went in their budget. I have always heard there was summer camps organization that ran all of the camps.
I would assume any wrestlers that worked camps got paid for that.

The Camps office on campus does take a cut and covers the dorms/food/insurance. There is normally about 3-4 camps with anywhere from 200-400 wrestlers per camp.
