Liberty at CCU

The biggest game in CCU history may not happen this weekend due to COVID issues at Liberty.
However...
ESPN is reporting that CCU and BYU are in talks to play if LU can’t. Talk about a huge turn of events! (I’m sure ESPN has nothing to do with this, being that Gameday is gonna be there)

ESPN says if LU can't go there are talks with BYU to come to Conway Saturday instead. Crazy!

I think Coastal will be in for a rude wake up if BYU comes to town.

Especially without game-planning for then. Same could be said for both though, I guess. BYU has the edge,. I believe.

ESPN wants only one Cinderella G5 or Independent football team undefeated at the end of the season. Coastal, Marshall, BYU and or Cindy.

Based on what? BYU has played no one. Their win over boise was largely due to boise having no quarterbacks available. They are a good team but I don’t think they are better than coastal.

The conversation about BYU giving Coastal a rude awakening says that many of us don’t believe in Coastal’s ranking. The fact that a number of us completely lost it when Coastal beat us says that we really don’t respect Coastal. If we had lost to a number 15 ranked team in the ACC or the SEC, or the Big Ten, or even the American, folks would have seen that as a disappointment but not the end of the program. Point is we don’t really believe in the Sunbelt. At Coastal we lost to the number 15 team in the country by one score, forget the garbage score at the end, and many of us saw it as one of the worst losses in program history. Why, because we really don’t think Coastal is anything close to the top 15 team in the country. So why should anyone else give us respect when we get in the top 25? We don’t even believe in our own conference.

That was one person. CCU is a legit top 25 team but I would expect BYU to win a close game because of their QB Wilson. For those who have not seen Wilson you need to watch him. I think Zac and the CCU starter are good players but neither is in the same class at Wilson. He also has 2 OL, 2 WRs, and a TE who are potential NFL Draft picks.
With that said, I hope Zac returns because that would make me believe we could be special next year. It would also bridge the gap between him and the heir apparent so there is not a big drop off when DC Tabscott takes the field.

The QB from Coastal is the best QB in the conference. Wilson is a RS Jr, I think, and he is better. The kid from Coastal might end up being a major college and a decent pro possibly.
BYU wins in a CLOSE one.

If you know anything about Wyo and BYU then you know that my favorite teams are Wyo and anyone that beats BYU. App of course will always be my first love, followed by Wyo.

Stop pretending. We all know you are a Cajun. You're probably the same one who joins every year, under a different name, and then gets banned for being an asshole. You haven't reached that threshold this year....yet.

I have not nor will I sir.
However, who bans you for your name calling, abrasive language, and cursing??
That’s gotta be a warning from the hire up here, right?

BYU put up 573 yards and 51 points at Boise.
