I read yesterday that UVA was contemplating whether it was worth it this year.

Haffley made some pretty strong points in the reasons why they decided to forgo bowl season. Citing the players have basically been in isolation since the beginning of the season, bowl week leading up to the games will be non existent so no fun for the kids.

Historically bad football teams are opting out of bowl games...
But I’d almost rather not if it’s a Christmas Day game.

Re: Boston College not bowling, first domino?
As much as I always want to see App play any game and every bowl appearance has been awesome considering the current climate it seems almost pointless to attempt it this year. Didn’t school end at Thanksgiving for students? Is it really worth keeping everyone together on campus for weeks to then travel to Florida or some other destination only to play one more game in an empty stadium? What happens if everyone remains on campus for an extra week or so, practices and then the day before the bowl either App or the opponent has an outbreak? Personally it just seems ridiculous this year.
